A number of years before she became a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Tennessee, Judy C. Morelock earned a master’s degree in sociology there. Judy C. Morelock subsequently earned her PhD in sociology from Pennsylvania State University.
Ranked as one of the top-10 graduate programs in the country, the PhD program in sociology of the Department of Sociology and Criminology at Pennsylvania State University features a number of unique strengths, including flexible scheduling, strong mentoring, and multiple degree options. Many graduates of the PhD program go on to teach at some of the best universities in the country, such as the University of Michigan, UCLA, and Cornell. Other graduates of the program have found research positions in places like Facebook and the United States Department of Justice.
The PhD program in sociology at Pennsylvania State University allows students to choose from a wide range of courses, among them Health and Life Studies, Social Theory, and Quantitative Methodology.
