When she isn’t working, Dr. Morelock enjoys walking her dogs near her Knoxville home. She stays physically fit by hiking and lifting weights.

A number of years before she became a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Tennessee, Judy C. Morelock earned a master’s degree in sociology there. Judy C. Morelock subsequently earned her PhD in sociology from Pennsylvania State University.
